“परमेश्वरले आफ्ना पुत्रलाई संसारको न्याय गर्नलाई पठाउनु भएको होइन। तर परमेश्वरले आफ्ना पुत्रलाई उहाँबाट संसार बाँचोस् भनेर पठाउनु भएको हो।”
“For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
1. मेरो प्राणले धैर्यसित परमेश्वरलाई मेरो सुरक्षाको निम्ति पर्खिन्छ। मेरो उद्धार उहाँबाट मात्रै आउँदछ।
2. मसँग धेरैजना शत्रुहरू हुन सक्छन, तर परमेश्वर मेरो किल्ला हुनुहुन्छ। उहाँले मलाई बचाउनु हुन्छ। परमेश्वर अग्लो पर्वतमा मेरो सुरक्षाको ठाउँ हुनुहुन्छ। कुनै ठूलो सैनिकले पनि मलाई परास्त गर्न सक्तैन।
5. मेरो प्राणले धैर्यतापूर्वक मेरो सुरक्षाको निम्ति परमेश्वरलाई पर्खन्छ। परमेश्वर मात्र मेरो आशा हुनुहुन्छ।
7. मेरो गौरव र विजय परमेश्वरबाट आउँछ। उहाँ मेरो बलियो किल्ला र परमेश्वर मेरो शरणस्थान हुनुहुन्छ।
8. हे मानिसहरू! परमेश्वरमाथि सधैं भरोसा राख! तिमीहरूको सम्पूर्ण संकटहरू परमेश्वरलाई बताऊ। परमेश्वर हाम्रा शरणस्थान हुनुहुन्छ।
1. Truly my soul waiteth upon God: from him cometh my salvation.
2. He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.
5. My soul, wait thou only upon God; for my expectation is from him.
7. In God is my salvation and my glory: the rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8. Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.
पाठ सेर्मन
1 परमप्रभुलाई धन्यवाद चढाओ, किनभने उहाँ उपकारी हुनुहुन्छ। उहाँको प्रेम सँधै रहन्छ।
2 यसैले ज-जसलाई परमप्रभुले बचाउनु भएको थियो, प्रत्येक मानिसले भन्नु पर्दछ कि परमप्रभुले बचाउनु भयो। परमप्रभुले तिनीहरूका शत्रुहरूदेखि तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनु भयो।
3 परमप्रभुले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई विभिन्न देश देशबाट सँगै भेला गर्नुभयो। उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई पूर्व र पश्चिम, उत्तर र दक्षिणबाट सँगै भेला ल्याउनु भयो।
4 तिनीहरूमा कतिपय सुख्खा मरूभूमिमा छोडिए। तिनीहरूले बस्ने ठाउँ खोजिरहेका थिए। तर तिनीहरूले कुनै शहर भेटाएनन्।
5 तिनीहरू भोका र प्यासा थिए अनि कमजोर हुँदै गइरहेका थिए।
6 त्यसपछि तिनीहरूले परमप्रभुलाई सहायताको निम्ति पुकारे। अनि उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई संकटहरूबाट जोगाउनु भयो।
1 O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy;
3 And gathered them out of the lands, from the east, and from the west, from the north, and from the south.
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.
5 Hungry and thirsty, their soul fainted in them.
6 Then they cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.
1 परमेश्वरका हामी सहकर्मीहरू हौं। यसैले, हामी तिमीहरूलाई विन्ती गर्छौं जुन अनुग्रह परमेश्वरबाट पाएका छौ व्यर्थ हुन नदेऊ।
2 परमेश्वर भन्नु हुन्छः ठीक समयमा मैले तिमीलाई सुनें अनि मुक्तिको दिनमा मैले तिमीलाई सहायता गरें। तिमीहरूलाई म भन्दछु ठीक समय अहिले नै हो मुक्तिको दिन आजै हो।
1 We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.
2 (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)
12 म्हणून माझ्या प्रियांनो, जसे तुम्ही मी प्रत्यक्ष असतानाच नव्हे तर आता दूर असतानासुद्धा आज्ञा पाळता तसे भीतीने कापत तुमचे तारण पूर्ण होण्यासाठी कार्य करीत राहा.
13 रमेश्वरले तिमीहरूमा काम गर्नु हुँदैछ। उहाँलाई केले खुशी पार्छ त्यो गर्नु उहाँले नै सहयता गर्नुहुन्छ अनि शक्ति दिनुहुन्छ। अनि यस्तो गर्ने शक्ति पनि उहाँले नै दिनुहुन्छ।
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.
13 For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.
1 नामान अरामका राजाको सेनाका कप्तान थिए। नामान आफ्नो राजाकालागि धेरै महत्वपूर्ण थिए। किनभने परमप्रभुले उनलाई अरामको विजयका लागि उपयोग गरेका थिए। नामान महान् र शक्तिशाली मानिस थिए, तर तिनी कुष्ठ रोगले ग्रस्त थिए।
2 अरामी सेनाले इस्राएलमा लडाइँ गर्नका लागि सैनिकहरूको धेरै दलहरू पठाए। सैनिकहरूले मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूको दास बनाए। एक पटक तिनीहरूले इस्राएलको भूमिबाट एउटी सानी केटी ल्याए। यो सानी केटी नामानकी पत्नीकी सेविका भई।
3 यस केटीले नामानकी पत्नीलाई भनी, म चाहन्छु, मेरा मालिक नामानले अगमवक्ता एलीशासँग भेट गरून् जो सामरियामा बस्छन्। त्यस अगमवक्ताले नामानको कुष्ठा रोग निको पार्न सक्छन।
4 नामान आफ्नो मालिक (अरामका राजा) कहाँ गए। नामानले अरामका राजालाई ती सबै कुराहरू गरे जो इस्राएली केटीले भनेकी थिई।
9 यसकारण नामान आफ्ना घोडाहरू अनि रथहरूसँगै एलीशाको घरमा आए अनि ढोकाको बाहिर उभिए।
10 एलीशाले नामानसम्म एक जना दूत पठाए। दूतले भन्यो, जाऊ अनि यर्दन नदीमा सात पटक धोऊ। तब तिम्रो छालाको कुष्ठ निको हुनेछ अनि तिमी शुद्ध हुने छौ।
11 नामान रिसाए अनि फर्किए। उनले भने, मैले सोचेको थिएँ एलीशा बाहिर निस्किन्छन् अनि मेरो अघि उभिन्छन् अनि आफ्नो परमप्रभु परमेश्वरलाई आह्वान गर्ने छन्। मैले सोचेको थिएँ, उनले मेरो शरीरमाथि आफ्नो हात हल्लाउने छन् अनि कुष्ठ रोग निको हुनेछ।
12 दमीशक्का नदीहरू अबाना र फारपर इस्राएलका सबै पोखरीहरूका पानी भन्दा राम्रा छन्। मैले दमीशक्का ती नदीहरूमा धुने काम किन नगर्नु अनि निको नहुनु? नामान साह्रै रिसाएका थिए अनि तिनी फर्किए।
13 तर नामानको सेवकहरू उनकोमा गए अनि उनीसँग कुरा गरे। उनीहरूले भने, मालिक, यदि अगमवक्ताले तपाईलाई केही महान कार्य गर्नु भनेको खण्डमा, तपाई गर्नु हुन्छ, होइन र यसकारण तपाईले उनको आज्ञा पालन गर्नु पर्छ यदि उनी तपाईलाई केही सरल काम गर्नु भन्दछन्। अनि उनले भने, नुहाऊ अनि तिमी शुद्ध र स्वच्छ हुनेछौ।
14 यसकारण नामानले त्यही गरे जो परमेश्वरको जनले गर्नु भने। नामान नदीमा पसे अनि यर्दन नदीमा सात पटक डुबे। अनि नामान शुद्ध र स्वच्छ भए। नामानको छाला नानीकोछाला जस्तै नरम भयो।
15 नामान अनि उनको सबै दल परमेश्वरको मानिस कहाँ फर्केर आए। उनी एलीशासामु उभिए अनि भने, हेर, अहिले म जान्दछु इस्राएलमा बाहेक अरू कतै परमेश्वर छैनन्। अब कृपया मबाट एउटा उपहार स्वीकार गर्नुहोस्।
16 तर एलीशाले भने,म परमप्रभुको सेवा गर्दछु अनि म शपथ खाएर भन्छु, जब परमप्रभु हुनुहुन्छ म कुनै उपहार स्वीकार गर्दिन। नामानले एलीशालाई उपहार स्वीकार गराउन पुरा चेष्टा गरे स्वीकार गर्नु हुन्न भने, मेरो निम्ति यति काम गर्नुहवस्।
1 Now Naaman, captain of the host of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honourable, because by him the Lord had given deliverance unto Syria: he was also a mighty man in valour, but he was a leper.
2 And the Syrians had gone out by companies, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maid; and she waited on Naaman’s wife.
3 And she said unto her mistress, Would God my lord were with the prophet that is in Samaria! for he would recover him of his leprosy.
4 And one went in, and told his lord, saying, Thus and thus said the maid that is of the land of Israel.
9 So Naaman came with his horses and with his chariot, and stood at the door of the house of Elisha.
10 And Elisha sent a messenger unto him, saying, Go and wash in Jordan seven times, and thy flesh shall come again to thee, and thou shalt be clean.
11 But Naaman was wroth, and went away, and said, Behold, I thought, He will surely come out to me, and stand, and call on the name of the Lord his God, and strike his hand over the place, and recover the leper.
12 Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? may I not wash in them, and be clean? So he turned and went away in a rage.
13 And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? how much rather then, when he saith to thee, Wash, and be clean.
14 Then went he down, and dipped himself seven times in Jordan, according to the saying of the man of God: and his flesh came again like unto the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.
15 And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant.
16 But he said, As the Lord liveth, before whom I stand, I will receive none. And he urged him to take it; but he refused.
1 येशू यरीहो शहर भएर जाँदै हुनुहुन्थ्यो।
2 यरीकोमा एकजना जक्कै नाउँ भएको मानिस बस्थे । तिनी महसूल उठाउने हाकीम औ धनवान मानिस थिए ।
3 तिनी येशू को हुन भनी हेर्न चाहन्थे। अरू मानिसहरू पनि त्यहाँ उहाँलाई हेर्न चाहन्थे। जक्कै एकदमै पुडको मानिस थिए अनि उनले मानिसहरूको भीडमा येशूलाई देख्न सक्ने थिएनन्।
4 अनि येशू आउँदै गरेको ठाँउ पुग्नु तिनी अघि दौडे। तिनी नेभाराको रूखमा चढे जहाँबाट तिनले येशूलाई देख्न सक्थे।
5 जब येशू त्यो ठाउँमा आइपुग्नु भयो उहाँले जक्कैलाई रूखमाथि देख्नु भयो। उहाँले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, जक्कै, झट्टै! तल ओर्लेरआऊ! आज म तिम्रो घरमा बास बस्नु पर्छ।
6 त्यसपछि जक्कै झट्टै तल ओर्लेर आए। तिनी आफ्नो घरमा येशूलाई स्वागत गर्न पाउँदा खुबै खुशी भए।
7 सबै मानिसहरूले यो देखो। तिनीहरू यसो भन्दै विरोध गर्न लागे, हेर येशू कस्ता मानिससंग बस्न जानु हुँदैंछ? जक्कै पापी हो।
8 जक्कैले प्रभूलाई भन्यो, म असल काम गर्न चहान्छु। म गरीबहरूलाई मेरो आधा सम्पति दिनेछु। अनि यदि मैले कसैले ठगेकोछु भने तिनीहरूलाई चार गुणा अधिक तिर्नेछु।
9 येशूले भन्नुभयो, यो मानिस असल हो। निश्चय नै यी अब्राहामको परिवारको हुनुपर्छ। आज जक्कै आफ्नो पापहरूबाट मुक्त भएको छ।
10 मानिसको पुत्र हाराएको मानिसहरूलाई खोज्नु र उद्धार गर्न आएको छ।
1 And Jesus entered and passed through Jericho.
2 And, behold, there was a man named Zacchæus, which was the chief among the publicans, and he was rich.
3 And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the press, because he was little of stature.
4 And he ran before, and climbed up into a sycomore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.
5 And when Jesus came to the place, he looked up, and saw him, and said unto him, Zacchæus, make haste, and come down; for to day I must abide at thy house.
6 And he made haste, and came down, and received him joyfully.
7 And when they saw it, they all murmured, saying, That he was gone to be guest with a man that is a sinner.
8 And Zacchæus stood, and said unto the Lord; Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor; and if I have taken any thing from any man by false accusation, I restore him fourfold.
9 And Jesus said unto him, This day is salvation come to this house, forsomuch as he also is a son of Abraham.
10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
1 परमेश्वर हाम्रो बलको भण्डार हुनुहुन्छ। संकटको बेला उहाँबाट हामी सधैं सहयोग पाउन सक्छौं।
2 यसैकारण भुइँचालो आए ता पनि पर्वतहरू समुद्रको गर्भमा झरे तापनि हामी डराउँदैनौ।
4 त्यहाँ एउटा नदी छ जसको धाराले सर्वोच्च परमेश्वरको पवित्र शहरमा आनन्द ल्याउँछ।
5 परमेश्वर त्यस शहरमा हुनुहुन्छ यसैले यो कहिल्यै नाश हुने छैन। घाम उदाउनु अघिनै परमेश्वर साथ दिन त्यहाँ हुनुहुन्छ।
10 परमेश्वर भन्नुहुन्छ, लडाइँ रोक, म नै परमेश्वर हुँ भनेर जान! म जाति-जातिलाई परास्त गर्नु सक्छु, म संसारलाई अधीनमा राख्न सक्छु!
11 सर्वशक्तिमान् परमप्रभु हामीसँग हुनुहुन्छ। याकूबका परमेश्वर हाम्रो शरणस्थान हुनुहुन्छ।
1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
2 Therefore will not we fear,
4 There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High.
5 God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved:
10 Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
11 The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our refuge.
1 तिमी सर्वोच्च परमेश्वरकहाँ लुक्न जान सक्छौ। अवश्य नै तिमी सर्वशक्तिमान् परमेश्वरकहाँ सुरक्षाको लागि जान सक्छौ।
2 म परमप्रभुलाई भन्दछु, तपाईं मेरो सुरक्षाको ठाउँ हुनुहुन्छ, मेरो किल्ला हुनुहुन्छ। मेरो परमेश्वर, म तपाईंमाथि भरोसा गर्दछु।
3 परमेश्वरले तिमीलाई लुप्त विपदहरू र डरलाग्दो बिमारीहरूबाट जोगाउनुहुन्छ।
1 He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.
3 Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.
24 मेरो मालिक, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ,
24 Therefore thus saith the Lord God of hosts,
14 परमप्रभु भन्नुहुन्छ, यदि कुनै मानिसले ममा भरोसा गर्दछ भने, म उसलाई बचाउने छु जसले मेरो नाउँलाई उपासना गर्दछ म मेरो भक्तजनहरूलाई रक्षा गर्नेछु।
15 मेरो भक्तजनहरूले सहयोगको निम्ति मलाई डाक्ने छन्। अनि म तिनीहरूलाई जवाफ दिने छु म तिनीहरूको दुःखको बेलामा साथ रहनेछु, म तिनीहरूलाई मुक्त गर्ने छु र सम्मान गर्ने छु।
16 अनि मेरा भक्तजनहरूलाई दीर्घायु दिनेछु अनि तिनीहरूलाई बचाउनेछु।
14 Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him.
16 With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.
जे त्याच्यावर विश्वास ठेवतात, त्यांना टप्प्याटप्प्याने आढळून येईल की, "परमेश्वर आमचा आश्रय व सामर्थ्य आहे आणि संकटात तो आमचा तत्पर साहाय्यक आहे."
Step by step will those who trust Him find that "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
"तुमचे तारण तुम्ही स्वतःच साधा," ही जीवन आणि प्रेमाची मागणी आहे, कारण याच हेतूने देव तुमच्यासोबत कार्य करतो.
"Work out your own salvation," is the demand of Life and Love, for to this end God worketh with you.
मुक्ती. जीवन, सत्य आणि प्रेम हे सर्वांपेक्षा श्रेष्ठ असल्याचे समजले जाते आणि सिद्ध होते; पाप, आजारपण आणि मृत्यू यांचा नाश होतो.
Salvation. Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all; sin, sickness, and death destroyed.

Experience has proved to the author the fallacy of material systems in general, — that their theories are sometimes pernicious, and that their denials are better than their affirmations. Will you bid a man let evils overcome him, assuring him that all misfortunes are from God, against whom mortals should not contend? Will you tell the sick that their condition is hopeless, unless it can be aided by a drug or climate? Are material means the only refuge from fatal chances? Is there no divine permission to conquer discord of every kind with harmony, with Truth and Love?
काळ पुढे सरकत असताना माणसे चांगल्या किंवा वाईटाकडे वाटचाल करत राहतात. जर माणसे प्रगतीशील नसतील, तर जोपर्यंत सर्व चुकीची कामे पुसून टाकली जात नाहीत किंवा सुधारली जात नाहीत, तोपर्यंत भूतकाळातील चुकांची पुनरावृत्ती होत राहील. जर आपण सध्या वाईट कृत्यांमध्ये समाधानी असू, तर आपण त्याचा तिरस्कार करायला शिकले पाहिजे. जर आपण सध्या आळसात समाधानी असू, तर आपण त्याबद्दल असमाधानी झाले पाहिजे. हे लक्षात ठेवा की मानवजातीला, कधी ना कधी, दुःखाने किंवा विज्ञानाने, ज्या चुकीवर मात करायची आहे, त्याबद्दल खात्री पटणारच आहे.
Mortals move onward towards good or evil as time glides on. If mortals are not progressive, past failures will be repeated until all wrong work is effaced or rectified. If at present satisfied with wrong-doing, we must learn to loathe it. If at present content with idleness, we must become dissatisfied with it. Remember that mankind must sooner or later, either by suffering or by Science, be convinced of the error that is to be overcome.
या आज्ञा ऐका: "म्हणून जसा तुमचा स्वर्गातील पिता परिपूर्ण आहे, तसे तुम्हीही परिपूर्ण व्हा!" "सर्व जगात जा आणि प्रत्येक प्राण्याला सुवार्ता सांगा!" "आजारी लोकांना बरे करा!"

Hear these imperative commands: "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect!" "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature!" "Heal the sick!"
Why has this Christian demand so little inspiration to stir mankind to Christian effort? Because men are assured that this command was intended only for a particular period and for a select number of followers. This teaching is even more pernicious than the old doctrine of foreordination, — the election of a few to be saved, while the rest are damned; and so it will be considered, when the lethargy of mortals, produced by man-made doctrines, is broken by the demands of divine Science.

First in the list of Christian duties, he taught his followers the healing power of Truth and Love. He attached no importance to dead ceremonies. It is the living Christ, the practical Truth, which makes Jesus "the resurrection and the life" to all who follow him in deed.

Meekly our Master met the mockery of his unrecognized grandeur. Such indignities as he received, his followers will endure until Christianity's last triumph. He won eternal honors. He overcame the world, the flesh, and all error, thus proving their nothingness. He wrought a full salvation from sin, sickness, and death. We need "Christ, and him crucified." We must have trials and self-denials, as well as joys and victories, until all error is destroyed.
The educated belief that Soul is in the body causes mortals to regard death as a friend, as a stepping-stone out of mortality into immortality and bliss. The Bible calls death an enemy, and Jesus overcame death and the grave instead of yielding to them. He was "the way." To him, therefore, death was not the threshold over which he must pass into living glory.
"Now," cried the apostle, "is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation," — meaning, not that now men must prepare for a future-world salvation, or safety, but that now is the time in which to experience that salvation in spirit and in life. Now is the time for so-called material pains and material pleasures to pass away, for both are unreal, because impossible in Science.

The way through which immortality and life are learned is not ecclesiastical but Christian, not human but divine, not physical but metaphysical, not material but scientifically spiritual. Human philosophy, ethics, and superstition afford no demonstrable divine Principle by which mortals can escape from sin; yet to escape from sin, is what the Bible demands. "Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling," says the apostle, and he straightway adds: "for it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure" (Philippians ii. 12, 13). Truth has furnished the key to the kingdom, and with this key Christian Science has opened the door of the human understanding. None may pick the lock nor enter by some other door. The ordinary teachings are material and not spiritual. Christian Science teaches only that which is spiritual and divine, and not human. Christian Science is unerring and Divine; the human sense of things errs because it is human.
Those individuals, who adopt theosophy, spiritualism, or hypnotism, may possess natures above some others who eschew their false beliefs. Therefore my contest is not with the individual, but with the false system. I love mankind, and shall continue to labor and to endure.
The calm, strong currents of true spirituality, the manifestations of which are health, purity, and self-immolation, must deepen human experience, until the beliefs of material existence are seen to be a bald imposition, and sin, disease, and death give everlasting place to the scientific demonstration of divine Spirit and to God's spiritual, perfect man.
