“नष्ट गरिनु पर्ने शत्रुहरूमा मृत्यु अन्तिम हुनेछ।”
“The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death.”
1. तब त्यो स्वर्गदूतले मलाई जीवन-जलको नदी देखाए। नदी स्फटिक जस्तो चम्किलो थियो। त्यो नदी परमेश्वर अनि भेंडाको पाठाको सिंहासनबाट बगिरेहको थियो।
2. त्यो नगरको गल्लीको माझबाट वगिरहेकोथ्यो। जीवन वृक्ष वर्षेनी बाह्र वटा फल फल्दै नदीको एकपाट्टी थियो। प्रत्येक महिना यसमा फल फल्छ। वृक्षका पातहरु मानिसहरुको विमार निको पार्नुलाई थिए।
3. परमेश्वरको सराप परेको कुनै वस्तुले त्यो नगरमा स्थान पाउने छैन। परमेश्वर अनि भेंडाको पाठाको सिंहासन नगरमा रहने छ। परमेश्वरका सेवकहरुले उहाँलाई आराधना गर्नेछन्।
8. म यहून्ना हुँ। म नै त्यो हुँ जसले यी कुराहरु सुनें अनि देखें। यी कुराहरु सुनें अनि देखे पछि, त्यो स्वर्गदूतले मलाई यी कुराहरु देखाए, म उनको पाउ सामुन्ने उनलाई उपासना गर्न झूकेँ।
9. तर त्यस स्वर्गदूतले मलाई भने, ... तिमीले परमेश्वरको उपासना गर्नु पर्छ!
14. ती मानिसहरु धन्य हुनेछन् जसले आफ्ना वस्त्रहरु सफा धुन्छन्। जीवनको रुखबाट फल खाने अधिकार तिनीहरुले पाउनेछन्. तिनीहरु नगरका ती ढोकाहरुबाट पस्छन्।
1. And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
2. In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare twelve manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3. And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him.
8. And I John saw these things, and heard them. And when I had heard and seen, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel which shewed me these things.
9. Then saith he unto me, … worship God.
14. Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.
पाठ सेर्मन
23 हे परमप्रभु, मेरो हृदयमा हेर्नुहोस् अनि मेरो मनलाई जान्नुहुन्छ। मलाई जाँच्नुहोस् र मेरो विचारहरू जान्नुहुन्छ।
24 मसँग त्यस्तो कुनै पापपूर्ण विचारहरू छ भने हेर्नु होस्, अनि त्यस्तो बाटोमा डोराई लैजानु होस् जुन अनन्त रहनेछ।
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:
24 And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.
16 निःसन्देह तिमीहरू जान्दछौ कि जब तिमीहरूले आफैलाई कसैको आज्ञा पालन गर्ने दास बनाउँछौ, तब तिमीहरू त्यही मानिसको दास हौ। जुन मानिसको आज्ञा तिमी पालन गर्छौ त्यही तिम्रो स्वामी हुनेछ। तिमीहरू पापको पछि लाग कि परमेश्वरको आज्ञा पालन गर, पापले आत्मिक मृत्यु ल्याउँदछ। तर परमेश्वरको आज्ञा पालन गर्यौ भने तिमीहरू धार्मिक बनाइने छौ।
17 विगतमा तिमीहरू पापको दास थियौ। पापले तिमीहरूलाई अधिनमा राखेको थियो। तर परमेश्वरलाई धन्यवाद छ, तिमीहरूले ती आदेश हृदयले पालन गर्यौ जुन तिमीहरूलाई दिइयो।
18 तिमीहरू पापदेखि मुक्त भयौ। अनि अब तिमीहरू धार्मिकताका दास भयौ।
19 म यसको व्याख्या उदाहरण दिएर व्याख्या गरिरहेछु किनभने तिमीहरूलाई बुझ्न गाह्रो हुन्छ। विगतमा, तिमीहरूले पापको निम्ति आफ्ना शरीरका अंगहरू अर्पण गर्यौ र पापकै दास भयौ। तिमीहरू दुष्ट कुराहरूको लागि मात्र बाँच्यौ। त्यस्तै प्रकारले, तिमीहरूले धार्मिकताको लागि शरीरका अंगहरू समर्पण गर। त्यसपछि मात्र तिमीहरू परमेश्वरको निम्ति बाँच्नेछौ।
22 तर अब तिमीहरू पापबाट मुक्त छौ। अब तिमीहरू परमेश्वरका दास हौ। अनि यसले तिमीहरूलाई यस्तो जीवन ल्याउँछ जुन परमेश्वरको निम्ति मात्र हुन्छ। अनि त्यहाँबाट तिमीहरूले अनन्त जीवन प्राप्त गर्नेछौ।
23 जब मानिसहरूले पाप गर्दछन्, तिनीहरूले पापको ज्याला कमाउँछन् जो चाँहि मृत्यु हो। तर परमेश्वरले आफ्ना मानिसहरूलाई मूल्य रहित उपहार दिनु हुन्छ जुन हाम्रा ख्रीष्ट येशू प्रभुमा अनन्त जीवन हो।
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
1 येशू यर्दन नदीदेखि र्फकिनुभयो।
1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan,
11 अर्को दिन येशू नाइन भन्ने शहरमा जानुभयो। उहाँका चेलाहरू र धेरै मानिसहरू पनि उहाँ संगै गहरहेका थिए।
12 जब येशू शहरको फाटक नजिक पुग्नु भयो, उनले मुर्दा लगिरहेको देख्नु भयो। एउटी विधवाको एउटै भएको छोरो मरेको थियो। जब लाश लगिरहेको थियो शहरका धेरै मानिसहरू ती विधवासंग थिए।
13 जब प्रभु येशूले तिनलाई देख्नुभयो उहाँ त्यस विधवाको निम्ति हृदयबाट दुःखी हुनु भयो र तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, नरोऊ।
14 येशू शवपेटिकाको नजिक पुग्नु भयो अनि त्यसलाई छुनुभयो। लाश लगिरहेका मलामीहरू टक्क अडिए। उहाँले त्यो मरेको केटोलाई भन्नु भयो, ए युवक म तिमीलाई भन्दछु, उठ।
15 त्यसपछि त्यो मरेको केटो तत्कालै उठेर बस्यो अनि बात गर्न शुरु गर्यो। येशूले त्यस केटोलाई त्यसको आमालाई सुम्पिदिनु भयो।
16 सबै मानिसहरू छक्क परे अनि यसो भन्दै परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गरे, एउटा महान् अगमवक्ता हामीकहाँ आउनु भएको छ। अनि तिनीहरूले यो पनि भन्दै थिए, “परमेश्वरले आफ्ना प्रजाहरूको हेरचाह गरिरहनु भएकोछ।
11 And it came to pass the day after, that he went into a city called Nain; and many of his disciples went with him, and much people.
12 Now when he came nigh to the gate of the city, behold, there was a dead man carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow: and much people of the city was with her.
13 And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her, and said unto her, Weep not.
14 And he came and touched the bier: and they that bare him stood still. And he said, Young man, I say unto thee, Arise.
15 And he that was dead sat up, and began to speak. And he delivered him to his mother.
16 And there came a fear on all: and they glorified God, saying, That a great prophet is risen up among us; and, That God hath visited his people.

24 म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो भन्दछु, यदी कुनै व्यक्तिले मेरो कुरा सुन्दछ र मेरा पितामा विश्वास गर्दछ भने उसले अनन्त जीवन पाउनेछ। त्यो मानिसलाई कहिल्यै न्याय गरिनेछैन। उनी मृत्युबाट बाहिर आएका हुन् अनि जीवनमा प्रवेश गरेकाहुन्।
25 म तिमीहरूलाई साँचो भन्दछु, एउटा समय आइरहेको छ। वास्तवमा त्यो सयम अहिले नै आइसकेको छ। मानिसहरू जो मरेका छन् उनीहरूले परमेश्वरको पुत्रको आवाज सुन्नेछन्। अनि जजसले ती सुनेका कुराहरू मान्नेछन् उनीहरूले अनन्त जीवन पाउनेछन्।
28 यसमा अचम्ब नमान। समय आइरहेछ जब सम्पूर्ण मानिसहरू जो मरेका छन्, तिनीहरूले उहाँको आवाज सुन्नेछन्।
29 गरेका छन् बौरी उठ्नेछन्
30 म एकलै केही र्गदिनँ। म परमेश्वरबाट जस्तो सुन्छु त्यही प्रकारले न्याय गर्छु। यसैले मेरो निर्णय ठीक हुन्छ। किन? किनभने म आफैलाइ खुशी पार्ने कोशिश र्गदिन। तर म उहाँलाई खुशी पार्न चाहन्छु जसले मलाई पठाउनु भयो।
24 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
25 Verily, verily, I say unto you, The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live.
28 Marvel not at this: for the hour is coming, in the which all that are in the graves shall hear his voice,
29 And shall come forth;
30 I can of mine own self do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is just; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of the Father which hath sent me.
1 यति कुराहरू भनिसके पछि येशूले स्वर्गातिर हेर्नुभयो र प्रार्थना गर्नुभयो, पिता ठीक समय आइपुग्यो। यसकारण तपाईंको पुत्रलाई महिमा प्रदान गर्नु होस् ताकि पुत्रले तपाईंलाई महिमा दिन सकोस्।
2 तपाईंले सबै मानिसहरू भन्दा माथि पुत्रलाई शक्ति दिनुभयो ताकि पुत्रले सबैलाई अनन्त जीवन दिन सकोस् जुन तपाईंले तिनलाई दिनुभएकोछ।
3 यो अनन्त जीवन होः मानिसहरूले तपाईंलाई मात्र साँचो परमेश्वर भनेर चिनुन् र येशू ख्रीष्टलाई चिनुन् जसलाई तपाईंले पठाउनु भयो।
6 तपाईंले मलाई केही मानिसहरू संसारबाट दिनुभयो। मैले तिनीहरूलाई तपाईं को हुनुहुन्छ देखाई सकेकोछु। ती मानिसहरू तपाईंकै हुन् र मलाई दिनुभयो। तिनीहरूले तपाईंको वचन पालन गरे।
9 तिनीहरूकै निम्ति अब म प्रार्थना गर्दछु। म तिनीहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गरिरहेको छैन जो संसारमा छन्। तर म तिनीहरूका निम्ति प्रार्थना गरिरहेकोछु जो तपाईंले मलाई दिनुभयो। किनभने तिनीहरू तपाईंकै हुन्।
20 म ती मानिसहरूका लागि प्रार्थना गर्छु अनि म प्रत्येकको लागि प्रार्थना गरिरहेछु जसले मलाई उनीहरूको वचनको कारणले विश्वास गर्छन्।
21 हे पिता, म प्रार्थना गर्छु कि जसले म मा विश्वास गर्छन्, तिनीहरू एक होऊन्। जसरी तपाईं ममा हुनुहुन्छु, म तपाईंमा। म प्रार्थना गर्छु ताकि तिनीहरू हामीमा एक होऊन्। संसारले यो विश्वास गर्नछ कि तपाईंले नै मलाई पठाउनु भएको हो।
1 These words spake Jesus, and lifted up his eyes to heaven, and said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that thy Son also may glorify thee:
2 As thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.
6 I have manifested thy name unto the men which thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them me; and they have kept thy word.
9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.
20 Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word;
21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
28 हामी जान्दछौं कि परमेश्वरले प्रत्येक कुरामा तिनीहरूको भलाईको लागि गर्नुहुन्छ जसले उहाँलाई प्रेम गर्दछ। ती मानिसहरू हुन् जसलाई परमेश्वरले बोलाउनु भयो किनभने त्यो उहाँकै योजना थियो।
31 यसकारण यस विषयमा हामीले के भन्ने? यदि परमेश्वर हाम्रो निम्ति हुनुहुन्छ भने, हामीलाई कसले पराजय गर्न सक्छ?
38 हो, म निश्चिन्त छु कि कुनै चीजले पनि हामीलाई परमेश्वरको प्रेमबाट अलग पार्न सक्तैन न मृत्यु वा जीवनले न स्वर्गदूतहरू वा शासन गर्ने आत्माहरूले न त कुनै वर्तमानका वा भविष्यका कुराले।
39 न त कुनै माथिका वा तलका शक्तिले न त सारा संसारको कुनै अरू सिर्जित कुराले हाम्रो परमेश्वरको प्रेमबाट हामीलाई अलग गर्न सक्नेछ जो हाम्रा प्रभु ख्रीष्ट येशूमा छ।
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,
39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
1 योयेशू ख्रीष्टको अभिमानिस हो। परमश्वरले येशूलाई यी कुराहरु, अब चाँडै जे घट्नेवाला छ सो उनका सेवकहरुलाई दर्शाउनका निम्ति प्रदान गर्नुभयो। ख्रीष्टले आफ्ना सेवक यूहन्नालाई यी कुराहरु दर्शाउनका निम्ति आफ्ना स्वर्गदूत पठाउँनु भयो।
1 The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:
1 तब मैले एउटा नयाँ स्वर्ग अनि नयाँ पृथ्वी देखें। पहिलो स्वर्ग अनि पृथ्वी अदृश्य भयो। अब त्यहाँ सागर थिएन।
3 मैले सिंहासनबाट आएको ठूलो आवाज सुनें। त्यो आवाजले भन्यो, अब परमेश्वरको भवन मानिसहरुसंग छ। उनी तिनीहरुसंग रहेनछन्। तिनीहरु उनका मानिसहरु हुनेछन्। परमेश्वर स्वयं तिनीहरुसित हुनेछन् अनि तिनीहरुका परमेश्वर बन्नेछन्।
4 परमेश्वरले तिनीहरुको आखाँबाट जम्मै आँसु पुछ्नु हुनेछ। अब उसो त्यहाँ मृत्यु, शोक, रोदन वा पीडा केही हुने छैन। सबै पुरानो वस्तुहरु बितेर गए।
6 उहाँ जो सिंहासनमा हुनुहुनथ्यो उहाँले मलाई भन्नुभयो, अब सिद्धियो। म नै अल्फा अनि ओमेगा, आदि अनि अन्त हुँ। म कुनै पनि मानिस जो तिर्खाएको छ उसलाई जीवनका पानीको फुहराबाट सित्तैमा दिनेछु।
7 कुनै मानिस, जसले विजय प्राप्त गर्छ, यो सबै प्राप्त गर्नेछ। अनि म उसको परमेश्वर हुनेछु। अनि उ मेरो छोरो हुनेछ।
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
जीवन शाश्वत छ। हामीले यो कुरा बुझ्नुपर्छ र यसको प्रमाण प्रस्तुत गर्न थाल्नुपर्छ। जीवन र भलाइ अमर छन्। तसर्थ, वृद्धत्व र क्षयको सट्टा सुन्दरता, नवीनता र निरन्तरताको भावमा आफ्नो अस्तित्वसम्बन्धी दृष्टिकोणलाई ढालौँ।
Life is eternal. We should find this out, and begin the demonstration thereof. Life and goodness are immortal. Let us then shape our views of existence into loveliness, freshness, and continuity, rather than into age and blight.
दिव्य विज्ञानमा, मानिस परमेश्वरको वास्तविक प्रतिरूप हो। ख्रीष्ट येशूमा दिव्य स्वरूपको उत्कृष्ट अभिव्यक्ति पाइन्छ; उहाँले मर्त्य मानवहरूमाझ परमेश्वरको वास्तविक प्रतिविम्ब प्रस्तुत गर्नुभयो र उनीहरूको जीवनलाई उनीहरूका ती कमजोर तथा सीमित सोचाइका ढाँचाहरूले अनुमति दिने स्तरभन्दा माथि उठाउनुभयो — ती सोचाइहरू जसले मानिसलाई पतित, रोगी, पापी र मरणशील रूपमा चित्रण गर्थे। वैज्ञानिक अस्तित्व र दिव्य निको पार्ने प्रक्रियासम्बन्धी ख्रीष्ट-सदृश बुझाइमा चिन्तन र व्यवहारिक अभिव्यक्तिको आधारका रूपमा एक सिद्ध सिद्धान्त र विचार — अर्थात् सिद्ध परमेश्वर र सिद्ध मानिस — समावेश हुन्छन्।
In divine Science, man is the true image of God. The divine nature was best expressed in Christ Jesus, who threw upon mortals the truer reflection of God and lifted their lives higher than their poor thought-models would allow, — thoughts which presented man as fallen, sick, sinning, and dying. The Christlike understanding of scientific being and divine healing includes a perfect Principle and idea, — perfect God and perfect man, — as the basis of thought and demonstration.
परमेश्वर नै त्यो जीवन वा चेतना हुनुहुन्छ, जसले मानिस तथा पशुहरूको विशिष्ट अस्तित्व र पहिचानको निर्माण तथा संरक्षण गर्दछ। परमेश्वर सीमित हुन वा भौतिक सीमाभित्र बाँधिन सक्नुहुन्न। आत्मा पदार्थमा परिणत हुन सक्दैन, न त आत्माको विकास नै त्यसको विपरीत तत्वमार्फत हुन सक्छ। 'भौतिक जीवन' भनी गलत रूपमा चिनिने त्यस कुराको अन्वेषण गर्नुको के अर्थ छ, जुन सुरु भएझैं अन्तमा नामहीन शून्यतामै विलीन हुन्छ? अस्तित्वको वास्तविक बोध र त्यसको शाश्वत पूर्णता अहिले नै प्रकट हुनुपर्छ, जसरी यो भविष्यमा हुनेछ।
God is the Life, or intelligence, which forms and preserves the individuality and identity of animals as well as of men. God cannot become finite, and be limited within material bounds. Spirit cannot become matter, nor can Spirit be developed through its opposite. Of what avail is it to investigate what is miscalled material life, which ends, even as it begins, in nameless nothingness? The true sense of being and its eternal perfection should appear now, even as it will hereafter.
मानिस परमेश्वरबाट अलग छ भन्ने धारणालाई त्यागौं र केवल ईश्वरीय सिद्धान्त, जीवन तथा प्रेमको पालना गरौं। यही नै सम्पूर्ण साँचो आध्यात्मिक विकासको महान् प्रस्थान-बिन्दु हो।
Let us rid ourselves of the belief that man is separated from God, and obey only the divine Principle, Life and Love. Here is the great point of departure for all true spiritual growth.
यदि 'मृत्यु' भनिने अवस्थाले मानिसलाई नछोप्दै उसको अस्तित्वको सिद्धान्त, नियम र प्रमाणलाई अलिकति पनि बुझिएन भने, त्यस एउटा अनुभवका कारण उनीहरू अस्तित्वको क्रममा आध्यात्मिक रूपमा माथि उठ्ने छैनन्; बरु उनीहरू त्यस परिवर्तनअघि जस्तै भौतिकवादी नै रहनेछन् र जीवनको आध्यात्मिक बोधको सट्टा भौतिक दृष्टिकोण तथा स्वार्थी एवं तुच्छ उद्देश्यहरूबाटै सुखको खोजी गरिरहनेछन्।
यदि मृत्यु भनिने परिवर्तनले पाप, रोग र मृत्युप्रतिको विश्वासलाई मेटाइदिन्थ्यो भने, जीवनको अन्त्य हुने क्षणमै सुख प्राप्त हुन्थ्यो र त्यो सदाका लागि स्थायी हुन्थ्यो; तर वास्तवमा त्यस्तो हुँदैन। पूर्णताद्वारा मात्र पूर्णता प्राप्त हुन्छ। अधर्मीहरू तबसम्म अधर्मी नै रहिरहनेछन् जबसम्म 'दिव्य विज्ञान' मा 'ख्रीष्ट'—अर्थात् 'सत्य'—ले सम्पूर्ण अज्ञानता र पापलाई हटाइदिँदैनन्।
मृत्युको क्षणमा हामीमा विद्यमान पाप र भ्रमहरू त्यसै क्षणमा समाप्त हुँदैनन्, बरु ती भ्रमहरूको अन्त्य नभएसम्म कायम रहन्छन्। पूर्ण रूपमा आध्यात्मिक हुनका लागि मानिस निष्पाप हुनुपर्छ, र ऊ तब मात्र त्यस्तो बन्न सक्छ जब उसले पूर्णता प्राप्त गर्छ।
If the Principle, rule, and demonstration of man's being are not in the least understood before what is termed death overtakes mortals, they will rise no higher spiritually in the scale of existence on account of that single experience, but will remain as material as before the transition, still seeking happiness through a material, instead of through a spiritual sense of life, and from selfish and inferior motives.
If the change called death destroyed the belief in sin, sickness, and death, happiness would be won at the moment of dissolution, and be forever permanent; but this is not so. Perfection is gained only by perfection. They who are unrighteous shall be unrighteous still, until in divine Science Christ, Truth, removes all ignorance and sin.
The sin and error which possess us at the instant of death do not cease at that moment, but endure until the death of these errors. To be wholly spiritual, man must be sinless, and he becomes thus only when he reaches perfection.
सार्वभौमिक मुक्ति प्रगति र परीक्षाको प्रक्रियामा आधारित छ; यी बिना यसलाई प्राप्त गर्न सकिँदैन। स्वर्ग कुनै निश्चित स्थान होइन, बरु मनको एउटा दिव्य अवस्था हो जहाँ मनका सम्पूर्ण अभिव्यक्तिहरू सामञ्जस्यपूर्ण र अमर हुन्छन्। त्यहाँ पापको अस्तित्व हुँदैन र मानिसमा आफ्नै कुनै धार्मिकता हुँदैन; बरु, धर्मशास्त्रमा भनिएझैँ ऊ "प्रभुको मन" ले युक्त हुन्छ।
"जुन ठाउँमा रूख ढल्छ, त्यहीँ नै त्यो रहन्छ।" उपदेशक को पुस्तकमा हामी यस्तो पढ्छौं। यसै भनाइलाई एउटा प्रचलित उखानको रूप दिइएको छ: "रूख जसरी ढल्छ, त्यसरी नै लडिरहन्छ।" मानिस जसरी निदाउँछ, त्यसरी नै ब्युँझन्छ। मृत्युले नश्वर मानिसलाई जुन अवस्थामा भेट्टाउँछ, मृत्युपछि पनि ऊ त्यही अवस्थामा रहन्छ—जबसम्म परीक्षा र विकासको प्रक्रियाले आवश्यक परिवर्तन ल्याउँदैन।
Universal salvation rests on progression and probation, and is unattainable without them. Heaven is not a locality, but a divine state of Mind in which all the manifestations of Mind are harmonious and immortal, because sin is not there and man is found having no righteousness of his own, but in possession of "the mind of the Lord," as the Scripture says.
"In the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be." So we read in Ecclesiastes. This text has been transformed into the popular proverb, "As the tree falls, so it must lie." As man falleth asleep, so shall he awake. As death findeth mortal man, so shall he be after death, until probation and growth shall effect the needed change.
जब यो कुरा बुझिन्छ कि रोगले जीवनलाई नष्ट गर्न सक्दैन र मृत्युले मानिसलाई पाप वा बिमारीबाट बचाउँदैन, तब यो बोधले जीवनमा नयाँपनको सञ्चार गर्नेछ। यसले मर्ने इच्छा वा चिहानको त्रासलाई जित्नेछ र यसरी नश्वर अस्तित्वलाई पिरोल्ने ठूलो डरलाई मेटाउनेछ।

When it is learned that disease cannot destroy life, and that mortals are not saved from sin or sickness by death, this understanding will quicken into newness of life. It will master either a desire to die or a dread of the grave, and thus destroy the great fear that besets mortal existence.
The relinquishment of all faith in death and also of the fear of its sting would raise the standard of health and morals far beyond its present elevation, and would enable us to hold the banner of Christianity aloft with unflinching faith in God, in Life eternal. Sin brought death, and death will disappear with the disappearance of sin. Man is immortal, and the body cannot die, because matter has no life to surrender. The human concepts named matter, death, disease, sickness, and sin are all that can be destroyed.
मानिसको व्यक्तिगत अस्तित्व न त मर्न सक्छ न त अचेतनतामा हराउन सक्छ; किनभने आत्मा र मानिसको अस्तित्व दुवै अमर छन्। यदि मानिसले अहिले मृत्युमा विश्वास गर्छ भने, मृत्युको कुनै वास्तविकता छैन भन्ने कुरा थाहा पाएपछि उसले त्यसमाथि अविश्वास गर्नुपर्छ, किनकि अस्तित्वको सत्यता अविनाशी छ। जीवनलाई बुझ्न र सामञ्जस्य प्राप्त गर्न अघि, अस्तित्व भौतिक पदार्थमा निर्भर छ भन्ने विश्वासलाई 'विज्ञान' द्वारा सामना गरी जित्नुपर्छ।
मृत्यु भनेको अस्तित्व भौतिक हुन सक्छ भन्ने सपनाको अर्को चरण मात्र हो। कुनै पनि कुराले अस्तित्वको सामञ्जस्यमा बाधा पुर्याउन वा 'विज्ञान'मा मानिसको अस्तित्वलाई समाप्त पार्न सक्दैन। हड्डी भाँचिँदा वा शरीरको शिरच्छेदन हुँदा पनि मानिसको स्वरूप उस्तै रहन्छ। यदि मानिसले कहिल्यै मृत्युमाथि विजय प्राप्त गर्न सक्दैन भने, धर्मशास्त्रहरूले किन भन्छन्, "अन्तिम शत्रु जसको विनाश गरिनेछ, त्यो मृत्यु हो"? ईश्वरीय वचनको आशयले यो देखाउँछ कि हामीले पापमाथि जति विजय प्राप्त गर्छौं, त्यही अनुपातमा मृत्युमाथि पनि विजय प्राप्त गर्नेछौं। मुख्य कठिनाई परमेश्वर को हुनुहुन्छ भन्ने अज्ञानतामा निहित छ। परमेश्वर, जीवन, सत्य र प्रेमले मानिसलाई अमर बनाउँछन्। सबै कुरालाई सञ्चालन गर्ने अमर 'मन' लाई आध्यात्मिक क्षेत्रमा मात्र नभई तथाकथित भौतिक क्षेत्रमा पनि सर्वोच्च मानिनुपर्छ।
मृत्युको सपनालाई यस लोकमा वा परलोकमा 'मन' द्वारा जित्नुपर्छ। विचारले "म मरेको छु" भन्ने आफ्नै भौतिक घोषणाबाट ब्युँझिएर सत्यको यो उद्घोष सुन्नुपर्छ: "मृत्यु छैन, निष्क्रियता छैन, रोगपूर्ण क्रिया छैन, अति-क्रिया छैन, न त प्रतिक्रिया नै छ।"

Man's individual being can no more die nor disappear in unconsciousness than can Soul, for both are immortal. If man believes in death now, he must disbelieve in it when learning that there is no reality in death, since the truth of being is deathless. The belief that existence is contingent on matter must be met and mastered by Science, before Life can be understood and harmony obtained.
Death is but another phase of the dream that existence can be material. Nothing can interfere with the harmony of being nor end the existence of man in Science. Man is the same after as before a bone is broken or the body guillotined. If man is never to overcome death, why do the Scriptures say, "The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death"? The tenor of the Word shows that we shall obtain the victory over death in proportion as we overcome sin. The great difficulty lies in ignorance of what God is. God, Life, Truth, and Love make man undying. Immortal Mind, governing all, must be acknowledged as supreme in the physical realm, so-called, as well as in the spiritual.
The dream of death must be mastered by Mind here or hereafter. Thought will waken from its own material declaration, "I am dead," to catch this trumpet-word of Truth, "There is no death, no inaction, diseased action, overaction, nor reaction."
Life is real, and death is the illusion. A demonstration of the facts of Soul in Jesus' way resolves the dark visions of material sense into harmony and immortality. Man's privilege at this supreme moment is to prove the words of our Master: "If a man keep my saying, he shall never see death." To divest thought of false trusts and material evidences in order that the spiritual facts of being may appear, — this is the great attainment by means of which we shall sweep away the false and give place to the true. Thus we may establish in truth the temple, or body, "whose builder and maker is God."
