“"तिमी पुन जन्मिनै पर्छ।"”
“Ye must be born again.”
1 मकैदमा छु किन कि म प्रभुको हुँ। परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई उनका मानिस भएर जीउन चुन्नु भयो। अब म तिमीहरूलाई परमेश्वरका मानिस भएर कसरी जीउनु पर्छ त्यो बताउछु।
2 सँधै नम्र र कोमल बन। धैर्य बन र आपस्तमा प्रेम पूर्वक रह।
14 तब हामी नानीहरू जस्तो हुने छैनौ। हामी छालमा जहाजले यता र उता छल्काइएका मानिसहरू जस्ता हुने छैनौं। हामी प्रत्येक नयाँ शिक्षाद्वारा प्रभावित हुने छैनौं जसले हामीलाई धोका दिने प्रयास गर्छ। ती मानिसहरूले चलाकी गर्छन् र मानिसहरूलाई भूल बाटामा तान्न हर प्रकारको चेष्टा गर्छन्।
15 तर, हामी प्रेमपूर्वक सत्य बोल्छौं। तर हामी हर तरहले ख्रीष्ट जस्तै नहुञ्जे बडिरहनेछौं। ख्रीष्ट शिर हुनुहुन्छ र हामी शरीरको प्रत्येक अंग एक-अर्कामा जोडिएकोछ र शरीरको जोडनीले एक गरेको छ। प्रत्येक अंगले आ-आफ्नै काम गर्छ। अनि यसैले सम्पूर्ण शरीर विकास गर्छ र प्रेममा दृढ हुन्छ।
22 तिमीहरूलाई आफ्नो पुरानो स्वभाव छोडन सिकाइयो। त्यसको अर्थ, अघिका दिनहरूमा पछ्याइ हिंडेको कुमार्गलाई तिमीहरूले त्याग्नु पर्छ। त्यो स्वभाव त्यसैका धोखापूर्ण इच्छाहरूले त्यसलाई थोत्रो बनाइसकेका छ।
23 तिमीहरू आफ्ना मन र आत्मामा नयाँ बनाइनु पर्छ।
24 तिमीहरू नयाँ मानिस बनिनु पर्छ जस्तो विश्वास अनुसार धर्मी र पवित्र जीवन बाँच्न परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई आफ्नै अनुरूपमा सिर्जनु भएको छ।
1. I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2. With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
14. That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15. But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
22. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.
पाठ सेर्मन
1 आरम्भमा परमेश्वरले आकाश र पृथ्वी सृष्टि गर्नु भयो।
26 तब परमेश्वरले भन्नुभयो, अब हामी मानिस सृष्टि गरौं। हामी मानिस हाम्रै स्वरुप बनाउनेछौं र मानिस हामी जस्तै हुनेछन्।
27 यसर्थ परमेश्वरले आफ्नै प्रतिरूपमा मानिसलाई सृष्टि गर्नुभयो। परमेश्वरले आफ्नै स्वरुपमा मानिसलाई सृष्टि गर्नु भयो। उहाँले पुरुष र स्त्री सृष्टि गर्नुभयो।
28 परमेश्वरले तिनीहरुलाई आशीर्वाद।
31 परमेश्वरले आफूले सृष्टि गरेका प्रत्येक चीजको निरीक्षण गर्नु भयो अनि सबै असल लाग्यो।
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them,
31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good.
1 यसरी पृथ्वी, आकाश र तिनीहरुभित्र प्रत्येक वस्तुको सृष्टि पूरा भयो।
6 पृथ्वीबाट पानी निस्कियो अनि मैदानमा फैलियो।
7 तब त्यसपछि परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले भूँईबाट माटो उठाउनु भयो अनि मानिस सृष्टि गर्नु भयो। परमप्रभुले मानिसको नाकबाट सास हालिदिनु भयो र यसलाई जिउँदो बनाउनु भयो।
1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them.
6 But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
7 And the Lord God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.
1 हेपरमप्रभु, तपाईं मेरो परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ। म तपाईंलाई आदर गर्दछु र तपाईंको नाउँको प्रशंसा गर्दछु। तपाईंले उदेककोकामहरू गर्नुभयो। धेरै पहिले तपाईंले भन्नु भएका वचनहरू पूर्णत सत्य छन्। त्यस्तै भयो जस्तो तपाईंले हुन्छ भन्नु भएको थियो।
6 त्यस समय, सेनाहरूका परमप्रभुले त्यो पर्वतमा आफ्ना सारा मानिसहरूलाई महाभोज दिनुहुनेछ। त्यस भोजमा उत्तम भोजनहरू र मद हुनेछ। मासु कलिलो र राम्रो हुनेछ।
7 तर अहिले, एउटा आवरण छ जसले सबै राष्ट्र अनि जातिहरूलाई छोप्छ। त्यस आवरणलाई ‘मृत्यु’ भनिन्छ।
1 O Lord, thou art my God; I will exalt thee, I will praise thy name; for thou hast done wonderful things; thy counsels of old are faithfulness and truth.
6 And in this mountain shall the Lord of hosts make unto all people a feast of fat things, a feast of wines on the lees, of fat things full of marrow, of wines on the lees well refined.
7 And he will destroy in this mountain the face of the covering cast over all people, and the vail that is spread over all nations.
6 परमेश्वरद्वारा पठाइएको यूहन्ना नाउँका एकजना मानिस थिए।
7 यूहन्ना त्यही ज्योतिको विषयमा साक्षी दिन आएका थिए। उनकै माध्यमद्वारा मानिसहरूले ज्योति र विश्वासबारे जान्न-सुन्न पाए।
8 यूहन्ना ज्योति थिएनन्, तर उनी ज्योतिको बारेमा साक्षी दिन आएका थिए।
9 सत्य-ज्योति संसारमा आइरहकाछन् भनेर उनले बताई दिए। त्यो ज्योतिले सम्पूर्ण मानिसहरूलाई ज्योति दिनेछ।
10 उहाँ संसारका हुनुहुन्थ्यो, संसार उहाँद्वारा हुन आयो, तर संसारले उहाँलाई चिनेन।
11 उहाँ स्वयंले सृजना गरेको संसारमा आउनु भयो तर उहाँको आफ्नो मानिसहरूले उहाँलाई स्वीकार गरेनन्।
12 केही मानिसहरूले मात्र उहाँलाई स्वीकार गरे। ज-जसले उहाँलाई स्वीकार गरे उनीहरूलाई मात्र परमेश्वरको सन्तान हुने अधिकार उहाँले दिनुभयो।
13 ती बालकहरू प्राकृतिक तवरबाट जन्मेका थिएनन्। तिनीहरू आफ्नो आमा-बाबुको शारीरिक इच्छा अथवा निर्णयबाट जन्मेका थिएनन्। बद्लामा तिनीहरू परमेश्वरबाट जन्मेका थिए।
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 मोशाले मरूभुमिमा सर्पलाई उठाउनु भयो। मानिसको पुत्रसंग पनि त्यस्तै छ। मानिसको पुत्र पनि उचालिनु पर्छ।
15 त्यसर्थ उहाँमाथि विश्वास गर्ने प्रत्येकले अनन्त जीवन पाउनेछ।
16 हो, परमेश्वरले संसारलाई यति साह्रो प्रेम गर्नुभयो, कि उहाँले आफ्ना एकमात्र पुत्रलाई दिनु भयो। परमेश्वरले आफ्ना पुत्रलाई दिनु भयो त्यस द्वारा उहाँमाथि विश्वास गर्ने कोहीपनि नाश हुने छैन, तर अनन्त जीवन प्राप्त गर्नेछ।
17 परमेश्वरले आफ्ना पुत्रलाई संसारको न्याय गर्नलाई पठाउनु भएको होइन। तर परमेश्वरले आफ्ना पुत्रलाई उहाँबाट संसार बाँचोस् भनेर पठाउनु भएको हो।
14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:
15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
12 हामीसित यो आशा छ, यसैले हामी खुबै साहसी छौं।
13 हामी मोशा जस्ता छैनौं। उनले आफ्ना अनुहारमा घुम्टो हालेका थिए। इस्राएलका मानिसहरूबाट अनुहार लुकाउनु मोशाले आफ्नो अनुहार छोपेका थिए। महिमा अल्पिदैथ्यो अनि मोशा चाहँदैन थिए कि तिनीहरूले त्यसको अन्त्य देखुन्।
14 तर तिनीहरूको मन बन्द छन् तिनीहरूले बुझन सक्तैनन्। आज पनि जब तिनीहरू पुरानो करार पढछन् त्यही ढकनीले अर्थ छोपिन्छ। ढकनी खोलिएको छैन। त्यो खाली ख्रीष्टद्वारा हटाइन्छ।
15 तर आज सम्म पनि जब ती मानिसहरू मोशाको व्यवस्था पढछन्, तिनीहरूका मनमा घुम्टो लागेको हुन्छ।
16 तर जब कुनै मानिस बदलन्छ र प्रभुलाई पछ्याउँछ, त्यो घुम्टो हटाइन्छ।
17 प्रभु आत्मा हुनु हुन्छ। अनि जहाँ प्रभुको आत्मा छ त्यहाँ स्वतन्त्र हुन्छ।
18 हाम्रो अनुहार ढाकिएको छैन्। हामी सबै प्रभुको महिमा देखाउँछौं। हामी उनी जस्तै हुन परिवर्तन हुँदैछौं। यस परिवर्तनले हामीमा झन झन महिमा ल्याउँछ।
12 Seeing then that we have such hope, we use great plainness of speech:
13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is abolished:
14 But their minds were blinded: for until this day remaineth the same vail untaken away in the reading of the old testament; which vail is done away in Christ.
15 But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.
16 Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away.
17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
1 हाम्रो विश्वासको कारणले गर्दा हामी परमेश्वरसँग धर्मी बनेकाछौं। यसर्थ हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टद्वारा थियो हामी परमेश्वरबाट शान्ति पाउँछौं।
2 ख्रीष्टको माध्यम र हाम्रो विश्वासको कारण हामीले अनुग्रहमा प्रवेश पाएकाछौं जहाँ हामी अहिले उभिएकाछौं अनि परमेश्वरको महिमा पाउने आशामा हामी आनन्द मनाइरहेछौं।
14 तर आदमको समयदेखि मोशाको समयसम्म, सबै मानिसहरूलाई मर्नु नै थियो। आदमले परमेश्वरको आज्ञा पालन नगर्नाले मर्नु पर्यो। तर आदमले जस्तो अन्य मानिसहरूले पाप नगरे तापनि तिनीहरूले मर्नु पर्यो।आदम ख्रीष्ट जस्तै थिए जो भविष्यमा संसारमा आइरहेका थिए।
17 एकजना मानिसको पापले गर्दा मृत्युले सबैमाथि राज गर्यो। यसकारण जसले परमेश्वरको पूर्ण अनुग्रह र उहाँको धार्मिकताको महान उपहार स्वीकार गर्छन् तिनीहरूले सत्य जीवन पाउँछन् र एक मात्र येशू ख्रीष्टद्वारा शासित हुन्छन्।
18 यसैले एउटा मानिसको पापले सबै मानिसहरूमाथि मृत्युको दण्ड ल्यायो। तर त्यस्तै प्रकाले, ख्रीष्टले एउटा असल काम गर्नुभयो जुन कामले सबै मानिसहरूलाई धार्मिक बनाउँदछ र अनन्त जीवन ल्याउदछ।
19 एकजना मानिसको अनाज्ञाकारीताले धेरै मानिसहरू पापी भए। तर त्यस्तै प्रकारले एकजना मानिसको अनाज्ञाकारीताले धेरै मानिसहरू धार्मिक बनाइन्छन्।
20 पाप बढला कि भनेर व्यवस्था बनियो। तर जति पाप बढदै गयो परमेश्वरको अनुग्रह अझै धेरै बढदै गयो।
21 जसरी मृत्युले पापद्वारा शासन गरयो उसरी नै परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहले मानिसलाई धार्मिक बनाउन शासन गर्नेछ। यसले हाम्रा प्रभु येशू ख्रीष्टद्वारा अनन्त जीवन ल्याउने छ।
1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:
2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.
14 Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam’s transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come.
17 For if by one man’s offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.)
18 Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life.
19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound:
21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
22 आदममा जम्मै मानिसहरू मरे त्यसरी नै ख्रीष्टमा हामी सबै फेरि जीवित तुल्याइनछौं।
22 For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.
1 परमेश्वरले, आफ्नो दयाले हामीलाई यो काम गर्न दिनु भएकोछ, यसकारण हामी यो काम छोडदैनौं।
3 हामीले प्रचार गरेको सुसमाचार लुकेको होला तर यो तिनीहरूकै लागि लुकेको हो जो अल्मलिएका छन्।
4 यस संसारको शासनकर्त्ता जसले विश्वास गर्दैनन् ती मानिसहरूको मन अन्धा बनाइदिएको छ। यसर्थ तिनीहरूले ख्रीष्टको महिमाको सुसमाचारको प्रकाश देख्न सक्तैनन्। ख्रीष्ट नै एक हुनुहुन्छ जो एकदमै परमेश्वर जस्ता हुनुहुन्छ।
6 परमेश्वरले एक पल्ट भन्नु भएको थियो, अन्धकारबाट ज्योति चम्कने छ! अनि उहाँ तिनै परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ जसले हाम्रो हृदयमा आफ्नो ज्योति प्रकाशित हुन दिनुभयो। ख्रीष्टको अनुहारमा परमेश्वरको महिमा झल्काएर उहाँले हामीलाई प्रकाश दिनु भयो।
1 Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not;
3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
6 For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
यसको विज्ञानमा हुनुको वास्तविकता र क्रम बुझ्नको लागि, तपाईंले वास्तवमा सबै कुराको ईश्वरीय सिद्धान्तको रूपमा भगवानलाई गणना गरेर सुरु गर्नुपर्छ। आत्मा, जीवन, सत्य, प्रेम, एकको रूपमा संयोजन, र परमेश्वरका लागि धर्मशास्त्रीय नामहरू हुन्। सबै पदार्थ, बुद्धि, बुद्धि, अस्तित्व, अमरता, कारण र प्रभाव ईश्वरको हो।
To grasp the reality and order of being in its Science, you must begin by reckoning God as the divine Principle of all that really is. Spirit, Life, Truth, Love, combine as one, — and are the Scriptural names for God. All substance, intelligence, wisdom, being, immortality, cause, and effect belong to God.
विज्ञानमा मानिस आत्माको सन्तान हो। सुन्दर, राम्रो र शुद्ध उसको वंश हो। उसको उत्पत्ति, नश्वरहरूको जस्तै, क्रूर प्रवृत्तिमा होइन, न त बुद्धिमा पुग्नु अघि भौतिक अवस्थाहरू पार गर्दैन। आत्मा उहाँको आदिम र परम स्रोत हो; भगवान उहाँका पिता हुनुहुन्छ, र जीवन उहाँको अस्तित्वको नियम हो।
In Science man is the offspring of Spirit. The beautiful, good, and pure constitute his ancestry. His origin is not, like that of mortals, in brute instinct, nor does he pass through material conditions prior to reaching intelligence. Spirit is his primitive and ultimate source of being; God is his Father, and Life is the law of his being.
नश्वर दिमागले आध्यात्मिकलाई भौतिकमा रूपान्तरण गर्नेछ, र त्यसपछि यो त्रुटिको मृत्युबाट बच्नको लागि मानिसको मौलिक आत्मलाई पुन: प्राप्ति गर्नेछ। नश्वरहरू अमरहरू जस्तै होइनन्, परमेश्वरको आफ्नै स्वरूपमा सृष्टि गरिएको; तर अनन्त आत्मा सबै हुनुहुन्थ्यो, नश्वर चेतना अन्ततः वैज्ञानिक तथ्यमा उपज हुनेछ र गायब हुनेछ, र वास्तविकता, सिद्ध र सदाको लागि अक्षुण्ण, प्रकट हुनेछ।
Mortal mind would transform the spiritual into the material, and then recover man's original self in order to escape from the mortality of this error. Mortals are not like immortals, created in God's own image; but infinite Spirit being all, mortal consciousness will at last yield to the scientific fact and disappear, and the real sense of being, perfect and forever intact, will appear.
विज्ञानले अमर मानिसको गौरवशाली सम्भावनाहरू प्रकट गर्दछ, सधैंभरि नश्वर इन्द्रियहरूद्वारा असीमित।
अनन्त सत्यले नश्वरहरूले त्रुटिबाट सिकेको जस्तो देखिन्छ त्यसलाई नष्ट गर्दछ, र परमेश्वरको बच्चाको रूपमा मानिसको वास्तविक अस्तित्व प्रकाशमा आउँछ। सत्य अनन्त जीवन हो। नश्वर मानिस कहिले पनि त्रुटि, पाप, रोग र मृत्युमा विश्वासको अस्थायी मलबेबाट उठ्न सक्दैन, जबसम्म उसले ईश्वर एक मात्र जीवन हो भनेर थाहा पाउँदैन। जीवन र संवेदना शरीरमा छ भन्ने विश्वासलाई भगवानको रूपको रूपमा मानिसलाई के बनाउँछ भन्ने बुझाइबाट हटाउनु पर्छ।
Science reveals the glorious possibilities of immortal man, forever unlimited by the mortal senses.
The eternal Truth destroys what mortals seem to have learned from error, and man's real existence as a child of God comes to light. Truth demonstrated is eternal life. Mortal man can never rise from the temporal débris of error, belief in sin, sickness, and death, until he learns that God is the only Life. The belief that life and sensation are in the body should be overcome by the understanding of what constitutes man as the image of God.
आदम नामले जीवन अनन्त होइन, तर यसको सुरुवात र अन्त्य छ भन्ने झूटो अनुमानलाई प्रतिनिधित्व गर्दछ; कि अनन्तले परिमितमा प्रवेश गर्छ, त्यो बुद्धि गैर-बुद्धिमा जान्छ, र त्यो आत्मा भौतिक अर्थमा वास गर्छ; त्यो अमर दिमागले पदार्थमा परिणाम दिन्छ, र नश्वर दिमागमा पदार्थ; कि एउटै ईश्वर र सृष्टिकर्ता उसले बनाएको कुरामा प्रवेश गर्नुभयो, र त्यसपछि पदार्थको नास्तिकतामा गायब भयो।
The name Adam represents the false supposition that Life is not eternal, but has beginning and end; that the infinite enters the finite, that intelligence passes into non-intelligence, and that Soul dwells in material sense; that immortal Mind results in matter, and matter in mortal mind; that the one God and creator entered what He created, and then disappeared in the atheism of matter.
धूलोबाट बनेको रूपमा धर्मशास्त्रमा प्रतिनिधित्व गरिएको एडम, मानव दिमागको लागि एउटा वस्तु पाठ हो। एडमजस्तै भौतिक इन्द्रियहरू पदार्थमा उत्पत्ति हुन्छन् र धुलोमा फर्किन्छन्, - गैर-बुद्धिमान साबित हुन्छन्। तिनीहरू भित्र आए जस्तै बाहिर जान्छन्, किनकि तिनीहरू अझै त्रुटि हुन्, अस्तित्वको सत्य होइन।
Adam, represented in the Scriptures as formed from dust, is an object-lesson for the human mind. The material senses, like Adam, originate in matter and return to dust, — are proved non-intelligent. They go out as they came in, for they are still the error, not the truth of being.
उत्पत्ति 2: 6. पृथ्वीबाट पानी निस्कियो अनि मैदानमा फैलियो।
ईश्वरीय सृष्टिको विज्ञान र सत्यलाई पहिले नै विचार गरिएका पदहरूमा प्रस्तुत गरिएको छ, र अब उल्टो त्रुटि, सृष्टिको भौतिक दृष्टिकोण, प्रस्तुत गरिनेछ। उत्पत्तिको दोस्रो अध्यायमा परमेश्वर र ब्रह्माण्डको यस भौतिक दृष्टिकोणको कथन समावेश छ, जुन पहिले रेकर्ड गरिएको वैज्ञानिक सत्यको ठीक विपरीत हो।
Genesis ii. 6. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.
The Science and truth of the divine creation have been presented in the verses already considered, and now the opposite error, a material view of creation, is to be set forth. The second chapter of Genesis contains a statement of this material view of God and the universe, a statement which is the exact opposite of scientific truth as before recorded.
पहिलो रेकर्डले सबै शक्ति र सरकारलाई परमेश्वरलाई प्रदान गर्दछ, र परमेश्वरको पूर्णता र शक्तिबाट मानिसलाई प्रदान गर्दछ। दोस्रो रेकर्डले मानिसलाई परिवर्तनशील र नश्वरको रूपमा वर्णन गर्दछ, - देवताबाट अलग भएको र आफ्नै कक्षामा घुमेको रूपमा। अस्तित्व, ईश्वरत्वबाट अलग, विज्ञानले असम्भवको रूपमा व्याख्या गर्दछ।
The first record assigns all might and government to God, and endows man out of God's perfection and power. The second record chronicles man as mutable and mortal, — as having broken away from Deity and as revolving in an orbit of his own. Existence, separate from divinity, Science explains as impossible.

The creations of matter arise from a mist or false claim, or from mystification, and not from the firmament, or understanding, which God erects between the true and false. In error everything comes from beneath, not from above. All is material myth, instead of the reflection of Spirit.

Popular theology takes up the history of man as if he began materially right, but immediately fell into mental sin; whereas revealed religion proclaims the Science of Mind and its formations as being in accordance with the first chapter of the Old Testament, when God, Mind, spake and it was done.

As the individual ideal of Truth, Christ Jesus came to rebuke rabbinical error and all sin, sickness, and death, — to point out the way of Truth and Life. This ideal was demonstrated throughout the whole earthly career of Jesus, showing the difference between the offspring of Soul and of material sense, of Truth and of error.

When speaking of God's children, not the children of men, Jesus said, "The kingdom of God is within you;" that is, Truth and Love reign in the real man, showing that man in God's image is unfallen and eternal. Jesus beheld in Science the perfect man, who appeared to him where sinning mortal man appears to mortals. In this perfect man the Saviour saw God's own likeness, and this correct view of man healed the sick. Thus Jesus taught that the kingdom of God is intact, universal, and that man is pure and holy.

When we learn in Science how to be perfect even as our Father in heaven is perfect, thought is turned into new and healthy channels, — towards the contemplation of things immortal and away from materiality to the Principle of the universe, including harmonious man.

Through discernment of the spiritual opposite of materiality, even the way through Christ, Truth, man will reopen with the key of divine Science the gates of Paradise which human beliefs have closed, and will find himself unfallen, upright, pure, and free, not needing to consult almanacs for the probabilities either of his life or of the weather, not needing to study brainology to learn how much of a man he is.
