11 यो त्यो शिक्षा हो जो तिमीहरुले शुरुदेखि नै सुन्दै आएका छौ। हामीले एक-अर्कालाई प्रेम गर्नु पर्छ।
14 हामी जान्दछौ कि हामीले मृत्युलाई नाघेर जीवनमा आएका छौं। हामी यो जान्दछौं किनभने हामी ख्रीष्टमा भएका हाम्रा भाइ अनि बहिनीहरुलाई प्रेम गर्छौ। मानिस जसले प्रेम गर्दैन उ अझ मृत्युमा छ।
16 साँचो प्रेम के हो त्यो यसरी हामी जान्दछौ येशूले हाम्रा निम्ति आफ्ना जीवन अर्पण गरे। यसर्थ हामीले हाम्रो जीवन ख्रीष्टमा भएका हाम्रा भाइ बरिनीहरुका निम्ति अर्पण गर्नुपर्छ।
17 कसैसित संसारको धन-सम्पत्ति छ र पनि आफ्ना दाज्यू-भाइलाई खाँचोमा परेको देख्दा उनिहरुप्रति आफ्नो मन कठोर पार्छ भने परमेश्वरको प्रेमले कसरी त्यसमा वास गर्छ?
18 मेरो बालकहरु, हाम्रो प्रेम केवल शब्द अनि बातमा मात्र हुनु हुँदैन। हाम्रो प्रेम साँचो प्रेम हुनुपर्छ। हामीले हाम्रो प्रेम हाम्रो कर्मद्वारा दर्शाउनु पर्छ।
11. For this is the message that ye heard from the beginning, that we should love one another.
14. We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death.
16. Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
17. But whoso hath this world’s good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?
18. My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
पाठ सेर्मन
14 ... सम्पूर्ण व्यवस्ता यही एक आदेशमा समेटिएको छः आफूले आफूलाई जस्तो प्रेम गर्छौ त्यस्तै प्रेम अरूलाई पनि गर।
14 …all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
14 ... येशू गालील जानुभयो अनि परमेश्वरको सुसमाचार प्रचार गर्नुभयो।
15 येशूले भन्नुभयो, यही नै उचित समय हो। परमेश्वरको राज्य नजीक आएको छ। तिमीहरूले आफ्नो रहन सहन र हृदय परिवर्तन गर, अनि सुसमाचारमा विश्वास गर।
14 …Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,
15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.
17 एक दिन येशूले मानिसहरूलाई शिक्षा दिंदैं हुनुहुन्थ्यो, फरिसीहरू र शास्त्रीहरू पनि त्यहीं नै बसिरहेका थिए। तिनीहरू यरूशलेम, यहूदिया र गालिलका सबै शहरहरूबाट आएका थिए। परमप्रभुले उनलाई निको पार्ने शक्ति दिनुभएको थियो।
18 एकजना पक्षघातको रोगी त्यहाँ एउटा खाटमा लिएर आए अनि तिनीहरूले भित्र ल्याउने र येशूको अघि राख्ने चेष्टा गर्दैं थिए।
19 तर त्यहाँ मानिसहरूको त्यत्ति भीड थियो कि येशू भएकहाँ पुग्नलाई बाटो थिएन। त्सकारण ती मानिसहरू घरको छानामाथि चढे अनि केही झिंगटीहरू हटाएर प्वालबाट त्यो विमारी मानिसहरूलाई उसको खाटसँगै भीडको बिचमा र येशूको अघि ओह्याले।
20 तिनीहरूको अटल विश्वास देखेर उहाँले भन्नु भयो, मित्र, तिम्रो पापहरू क्षमा भयो।
21 तब शास्त्रीहरू र फरिसीहरू आपसमा बात गर्न लागे, यो मानिस को हो? उसले जे भन्दैछ, परमेश्वर को विरोधमा भन्दैछ। केवल परमेश्वरले मात्र पापीहरूलाई क्षमा गर्न सक्नुहुन्छ।
22 तर येशूले तिनीहरूले के सोचे थाहा पाउनु भयो। उहाँले भन्नु भयो, तिमीहरू मनमा यस्तो प्रश्नहरू किन गर्दछौ?
23 कुन चाँहि सजिलो छः तिम्रो पाप क्षमा भन्नु अथवा उठ अनि जाऊ भन्नु?
24 तर म तिमीहरूलाई देखाउँनेछु कि पृथवीमा मानिसको पुत्रलाई पापहरू क्षमा गर्ने अधिकार छ। तब उहाँले त्यस पक्षाघातीलाई भन्नुभयो, म तिमीलाई भन्दछु , उठ, तिम्रो बिछौना बाँध अनि घर जाऊ।
25 सबैको अघि त्यो तुरन्तै उठ्यो र आफ्नो बिछ्यौना च्याप्यो अनि परमेश्वरको प्रशंसा गर्दैं घरतिर लाग्यो।
27 यसपछि येशू बाहिर जानु भयो अनि कर-कार्यालयमा एकजना कर-संग्रहकर्त्तालाई बसिरहेको देख्नु भयो। त्यसको नाउँ लेवी थियो। येशूले त्यसलाई भन्नु भयो, मेरो पछि लाग।
28 लेवी जुरूक्क उठ्यो अनि सबै कुरा छोडेर येशूको पछि लाग्यो।
29 तब लेवीले येशूका निम्ति आफ्नो घरमा ठूलो भोजको आयोजन गरे। त्यहाँ कर उठाउनेहरू र अरू मानसहरूको पनि ठूलो भीड थियो जो तिनीहरूसंगै मेजमा खाँदथे,
30 तर फरिसहरू र तिनीहरूका शास्त्रीहरू उहाँको चेलाहरूको विरुद्धमा यसो भन्दै गनगनाउन लागे, तिमीहरू कर उठाउनेहरू र पापीहरूसित किन खान पीन गर्छौ?
31 येशूले उत्तर दिनु भयो, निरोगीलाई वैद्यको आवश्यक पर्दैन, तर रोगीहरूलाई मात्र वैद्यको आवश्यकता पर्छ।
32 म धार्मिक मानिसहरूलाई बोलाउनु आएको होइन, म त पापीहरूलाई तिनीहरूका हृदय र रहन सहन परिवर्तन गर भनी अह्राउनु यहाँ आएको हुँ।
17 And it came to pass on a certain day, as he was teaching, that there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, which were come out of every town of Galilee, and Judæa, and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal them.
18 And, behold, men brought in a bed a man which was taken with a palsy: and they sought means to bring him in, and to lay him before him.
19 And when they could not find by what way they might bring him in because of the multitude, they went upon the housetop, and let him down through the tiling with his couch into the midst before Jesus.
20 And when he saw their faith, he said unto him, Man, thy sins are forgiven thee.
21 And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, Who is this which speaketh blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?
22 But when Jesus perceived their thoughts, he answering said unto them, What reason ye in your hearts?
23 Whether is easier, to say, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Rise up and walk?
24 But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power upon earth to forgive sins, (he said unto the sick of the palsy,) I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy couch, and go into thine house.
25 And immediately he rose up before them, and took up that whereon he lay, and departed to his own house, glorifying God.
27 And after these things he went forth, and saw a publican, named Levi, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he said unto him, Follow me.
28 And he left all, rose up, and followed him.
29 And Levi made him a great feast in his own house: and there was a great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them.
30 But their scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples, saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners?
31 And Jesus answering said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician; but they that are sick.
32 I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
1 येशूले त्यहाँ भएका धेरै मानिसहरूलाई देख्नु भयो। येशू डाँडामा उक्लेर बस्नुभयो। उहाँका चेलाहरू पनि उहाँको नजिक आएका थिए।
2 उहाँले तिनीहरूलाई सिकाउन थाल्नुभयो।
20 ...धर्मशास्त्री र फरिसीहरूको भन्दा तिमीहरूले राम्रो काम गर्नु पर्छ। यदि तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूलाई उछिन्न सकेनौ भने तिमीहरूले स्वर्गको राज्यमा प्रवेश गर्न सक्नेछैनौ।
21 तिमीहरूले सुनेका छौ, प्राचीन समयकाहरूलाई यसो भनिएको थियो, कसैको हत्या नगर।जसले हत्या गर्छ, त्यो व्यवस्था समक्ष उभिनु पर्नेछ।
22 तर म तिमीहरूलाई भन्दछु, कोही अन्य मानिससित नरिसाओ। सबैजना तिम्रा भाइ हुन्। यदि तिमी अरू मानिससंग रिसाउँछौ भने, तिमी इन्साफको निम्ति खडा हुनु पर्नेछ। यदि तिमीले अर्को मानिससित नराम्रा कुरा गर्यौ भने तिमी यहूदीहरूको महासभाको समक्ष उभिनु पर्नेछ। यदि अर्को मानिसलाई ‘मुर्ख’ भन्छौ भने तिमी नरकको आगोमा फालिइनु पर्नेछ।
23 जब तिमीले परमेश्वरलाई भेटी चढाउछौ त्यसबेला तिमी अरूहरूलाई पनि सम्झ। यदि तिमीले वेदीमा भेटी चढाउँदा तिम्रो विरुद्धमा तिम्रो भाइको हृदयमा केही छ भन्ने सम्झ्यौ भने,
24 त्यही वेदीको छेउमा तिम्रो भेटी छोड। पहिला तिमी फर्केर जाऊ अनि त्यो मानिससित मिलाप गर। त्यसपछि आफ्नो भेटी वेदीमा चढाऊ।
1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
2 And he opened his mouth, and taught them, saying,
20 …except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.
21 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not kill; and whosoever shall kill shall be in danger of the judgment:
22 But I say unto you, That whosoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment: and whosoever shall say to his brother, Raca, shall be in danger of the council: but whosoever shall say, Thou fool, shall be in danger of hell fire.
23 Therefore if thou bring thy gift to the altar, and there rememberest that thy brother hath ought against thee;
24 Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift.
1 यसैले दाज्यू-भाइहरू र दिदी-बहिनीहरू, केही गर भनेर म बिन्ती गर्दछु। परमेश्वरले हामीलाई ठूलो दया देखाउनुभयो। यसकारण परमेश्वरलाई प्रसन्न गर्दै आफ्नो जीवनलाई जीवित बलिदानको रूपमा अर्पण गर। यही तिमीहरूको आत्मिक उपासना हो।
9 तिमीहरूको प्रेम शूद्ध हुनुपर्छ। ती कुराहरूलाई घृणा गर जुन कुरामा दुष्ट्याइँ छ। असल कुराहरू मात्र गर।
10 एका-अर्कामा दाज्यु-भाई, दिदी-बहिनीहरूलाई जस्तो प्रेम गर। तिमी आफूलाई जस्तो चाहन्छौ आफ्ना दाज्यू-भाइ, दिदी-बहिनीहरूलाई त्यो भन्दा अझ बढता सम्मान देऊ।
11 परमप्रभुको काममा अल्छी नहोऊ। आत्मिक रूपले इर्ष्यालु भएर उहाँको सेवा गर।
12 खुशी होऊ किनभने तिमीहरूसँग आशा छ। दुःखमा धैर्य धारण गर। सधैं प्रार्थना गर।
13 परमेश्वरका मानिसहरूले सहायता खोजेको देखे आफूमा भएको कुरो बाँड र सहायता देऊ। अनि मानिसहरूलाई आफ्नो घरमा स्वागत गर।
14 ती जसले तिमीहरूलाई नराम्रो गर्छ उसित मीठो वचन बोल। तर तिनीहरूलाई नसराप।
15 जब अरूहरू खुशी हुँदछन् तिमी पनि तिनीहरूसँगै खुशी हुनुपर्छ। अनि जब अरूहरू रून्छन् तिमीपनि तिनीहरूसँग रोऊ।
16 परस्परमा शान्तिपूर्वक मिलेर बस। अंहकार नगर। निम्न पदका मानिसहरूसित मित्रता राख। अभिमानी नहोऊ।
17 यदि तिमीलाई कसैले चोट पुर्याँउछ भने तिमीले त्यसको बद्ला नलेऊ। सबै मानिसलाई राम्रो गर्ने प्रयास गर।
18 सबैसँग शान्तिसित बस्ने चेष्टा गर।
21 दुष्टले तिमीलाई नजितोस्, तर भलाईले दुष्टलाई जित।
1 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
9 Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.
10 Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another;
11 Not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving the Lord;
12 Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer;
13 Distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality.
14 Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not.
15 Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep.
16 Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.
18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.
21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
1 मेरा प्रिय नानीहरु, म तिमीहरुलाई यो पत्र लेखिरहेकोछु, जसमा कि तिमीहरुले पाप गर्ने छैनौ। तर यदि कुनै व्यक्तिले पाप गर्छ भने, येशू ख्रीष्टले पिताको अघि हामीलाई बचाउनु हुनेछ। येशू धर्मी हुनुहुन्छ।
2 येशू हाम्रो पाप क्षमा गर्ने माध्यम हुनुहुन्छ अनि सम्पूर्ण संसारका मानिसहरुको पापहरु पनि क्षमा गराउनुहुन्छ।
3 यदि उहाँको आदेश पालन गर्यौं भने हामी निश्चित हुन्छौं कि हामीले परमेश्वरलाई चिन्यौं।
4 एक व्यक्तिले भन्न सक्छ, म परमेश्वरलाई चिन्छु। तर यदि त्यस व्यक्तिले परमेश्वरका आदेशहरुको पालन गर्दैन भने त्यो मानिस झूटो हो, उसकोमा सत्य हुँदैन।
5 तर एक व्यक्तिले परमेश्वरको शिक्षा पालन गर्छ तब त्यस व्यक्तिमा परमेश्वरको प्रेमको लक्ष्य रहेको हुन्छ। यसरी नै हामी जान्न सक्छौ कि हामी परमेश्वरको अनुसरण गरिरहेछौ।
8 तर पनि म तिमीहरुको निम्ति यो आदेशलाई नयाँ आदेशको रुपमा लेख्दैछु। यो आदेश सत्य छ; अनि यसको सत्यता येशू अनि तिमीहरु स्वयंमा देख्न सक्छौ। अन्धकार हट्दैछ अनि सत्य ज्योति अघि देखि चम्किरहेछ।
9 एक व्यक्तिले भन्ला, म प्रकाशमा छु। तर यदि त्यो व्यक्तिले आफ्ना भाइहरुलाई घृणा गर्छ भने त्यो अझ अन्धकारमा छ।
10 जसले आफ्ना भाइ अनि बहिनीहरुलाई प्रेम गर्छ, त्यो प्रकाशमा बसेको हुन्छ अनि जसले पाप गराँउछ त्यस्तो त्यस व्यक्तिमा केही पनि हुँदैन।
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
3 And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5 But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
8 Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9 He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10 He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
... क्रिश्चियन विज्ञानमा पहिलो कर्तव्य भनेको परमेश्वरको आज्ञापालन गर्नु, एउटा मन हुनु, र अर्कोलाई आफूलाई जस्तै प्रेम गर्नु हो।
…in Christian Science the first duty is to obey God, to have one Mind, and to love another as yourself.
आफ्नो छिमेकीलाई आफ्नो जस्तै माया गर्नु, ईश्वरीय विचार हो; तर यो विचारलाई भौतिक इन्द्रियद्वारा कहिल्यै देख्न, महसुस गर्न वा बुझ्न सकिँदैन।
To love one's neighbor as one's self, is a divine idea; but this idea can never be seen, felt, nor understood through the physical senses.
नश्वरहरू मार्फत ईश्वरको प्रकटीकरण झ्याल-फलकबाट उज्यालो पार गरेझैं हो। प्रकाश र गिलास कहिल्यै मिल्दैन, तर पदार्थको रूपमा, गिलास भित्ताहरू भन्दा कम अपारदर्शी छ। सत्यको लागि राम्रो पारदर्शिता बन्नको लागि - नश्वर दिमाग जसको माध्यमबाट सत्य सबैभन्दा स्पष्ट रूपमा प्रकट हुन्छ त्यो त्यो हो जसले धेरै भौतिकता गुमाएको छ - धेरै त्रुटि -। त्यसपछि, बादल पातलो बाष्पमा पग्लिएझैं, यसले सूर्यलाई लुकाउँदैन।
The manifestation of God through mortals is as light passing through the window-pane. The light and the glass never mingle, but as matter, the glass is less opaque than the walls. The mortal mind through which Truth appears most vividly is that one which has lost much materiality — much error — in order to become a better transparency for Truth. Then, like a cloud melting into thin vapor, it no longer hides the sun.
आत्म-प्रेम ठोस शरीर भन्दा बढी अपारदर्शी छ। धीरजी परमेश्वरको आज्ञाकारितामा, हामी त्रुटिको अडिग प्रेमको विश्वव्यापी विलायकसँग विघटन गर्न परिश्रम गरौं - आत्म-इच्छा, आत्म-औचित्य, र आत्म-प्रेम, - जुन आध्यात्मिकता विरुद्ध लड्छ र पापको नियम हो।
Self-love is more opaque than a solid body. In patient obedience to a patient God, let us labor to dissolve with the universal solvent of Love the adamant of error, — self-will, self-justification, and self-love, — which wars against spirituality and is the law of sin and death.
ईश्वरीय प्रेमले मानिसलाई सुधार्छ र शासन गर्दछ। मानिसहरूले क्षमा गर्न सक्छन्, तर यो ईश्वरीय सिद्धान्तले मात्र पापीलाई सुधार्छ।
पापको फलस्वरूप दुःख दिनु नै पाप नाश गर्ने साधन हो। भौतिक जीवन र पापमाथिको विश्वास नष्ट नभएसम्म पापमा हुने हरेक सुखले त्यसको बराबरको पीडाभन्दा बढी प्रदान गर्नेछ। स्वर्गमा पुग्नको लागि, अस्तित्वको सामंजस्य, हामीले अस्तित्वको ईश्वरीय सिद्धान्तलाई बुझ्नुपर्छ।
"परमेश्वर प्रेम हुनुहुन्छ।" यो भन्दा बढि हामी सोध्न सक्दैनौं, हामी माथि हेर्न सक्दैनौं, हामी टाढा जान सक्दैनौं। परमेश्वरले उहाँको कृपा अनुसार पापलाई क्षमा दिनुहुन्छ वा सजाय दिनुहुन्छ भन्ने मान्न खोज्नु वा नचाहिने प्रेमलाई गलत बुझाउनु हो र प्रार्थनालाई गल्तीको लागि सुरक्षा भल्भ बनाउनु हो।
Divine Love corrects and governs man. Men may pardon, but this divine Principle alone reforms the sinner.
To cause suffering as the result of sin, is the means of destroying sin. Every supposed pleasure in sin will furnish more than its equivalent of pain, until belief in material life and sin is destroyed. To reach heaven, the harmony of being, we must understand the divine Principle of being.
"God is Love." More than this we cannot ask, higher we cannot look, farther we cannot go. To suppose that God forgives or punishes sin according as His mercy is sought or unsought, is to misunderstand Love and to make prayer the safety-valve for wrong-doing.
यदि मृत्यु भनिने परिवर्तनले पाप, रोग र मृत्युको विश्वासलाई नष्ट गर्यो भने, विघटनको क्षणमा खुशी जितिनेछ, र सदाको लागि स्थायी हुनेछ; तर यो त्यस्तो होइन। पूर्णताले मात्र पूर्णता प्राप्त हुन्छ। तिनीहरू जो अधर्मी छन् तिनीहरू अझै पनि अधर्मी हुनेछन्, जबसम्म ईश्वरीय विज्ञानमा ख्रीष्ट, सत्यले सबै अज्ञानता र पापलाई हटाउनुहुन्न।
मृत्युको तुरुन्तै हामीमा हुने पाप र त्रुटि त्यस क्षणमा बन्द हुँदैन तर यी त्रुटिहरूको मृत्यु नभएसम्म सहन्छ। पूर्णतया आध्यात्मिक हुनको लागि, मानिस पापरहित हुनुपर्छ, र जब ऊ पूर्णतामा पुग्छ तब मात्र त्यो बन्छ। हत्यारा, कार्यमा मारिए पनि, यसरी पाप त्याग्दैन। उसको शरीर मरेको र उसको क्रूर दिमाग मरेको छैन भन्ने कुरामा विश्वास गर्नको लागि ऊ अब आध्यात्मिक छैन। खराबलाई असलले निशस्त्र नदिएसम्म उहाँका विचारहरू शुद्ध हुँदैनन्। उसको शरीर उसको दिमाग जस्तै भौतिक छ, र यसको विपरीत।
If the change called death destroyed the belief in sin, sickness, and death, happiness would be won at the moment of dissolution, and be forever permanent; but this is not so. Perfection is gained only by perfection. They who are unrighteous shall be unrighteous still, until in divine Science Christ, Truth, removes all ignorance and sin.
The sin and error which possess us at the instant of death do not cease at that moment, but endure until the death of these errors. To be wholly spiritual, man must be sinless, and he becomes thus only when he reaches perfection. The murderer, though slain in the act, does not thereby forsake sin. He is no more spiritual for believing that his body died and learning that his cruel mind died not. His thoughts are no purer until evil is disarmed by good. His body is as material as his mind, and vice versa.

The suppositions that sin is pardoned while unforsaken, that happiness can be genuine in the midst of sin, that the so-called death of the body frees from sin, and that God's pardon is aught but the destruction of sin, — these are grave mistakes. We know that all will be changed "in the twinkling of an eye," when the last trump shall sound; but this last call of wisdom cannot come till mortals have already yielded to each lesser call in the growth of Christian character. Mortals need not fancy that belief in the experience of death will awaken them to glorified being.
Heaven is not a locality, but a divine state of Mind in which all the manifestations of Mind are harmonious and immortal, because sin is not there and man is found having no righteousness of his own, but in possession of "the mind of the Lord," as the Scripture says.

Hatred, envy, dishonesty, fear, and so forth, make a man sick, and neither material medicine nor Mind can help him permanently, even in body, unless it makes him better mentally, and so delivers him from his destroyers. The basic error is mortal mind. Hatred inflames the brutal propensities. The indulgence of evil motives and aims makes any man, who is above the lowest type of manhood, a hopeless sufferer.
Christian Science commands man to master the propensities, — to hold hatred in abeyance with kindness, to conquer lust with chastity, revenge with charity, and to overcome deceit with honesty. Choke these errors in their early stages, if you would not cherish an army of conspirators against health, happiness, and success.

Suffering, sinning, dying beliefs are unreal. When divine Science is universally understood, they will have no power over man, for man is immortal and lives by divine authority.
The sinless joy, — the perfect harmony and immortality of Life, possessing unlimited divine beauty and goodness without a single bodily pleasure or pain, — constitutes the only veritable, indestructible man, whose being is spiritual. This state of existence is scientific and intact, — a perfection discernible only by those who have the final understanding of Christ in divine Science.

The Scripture, "Thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many," is literally fulfilled, when we are conscious of the supremacy of Truth, by which the nothingness of error is seen; and we know that the nothingness of error is in proportion to its wickedness. He that touches the hem of Christ's robe and masters his mortal beliefs, animality, and hate, rejoices in the proof of healing, — in a sweet and certain sense that God is Love.
